Best of Boston

“In Boston they ask, how much does he know? In New York, how much is he worth? In Philadelphia, who were his parents?” – Mark Twain

Boston, Massachusetts certainly has plenty to offer!! But, how much do you really know about Boston?? Did you know that Boston attracts tourists because of its rich history? Did you know that there are amazing must-see attractions? Did you know that you can use the My Explore Hertz NeverLost Mobile Companion to take self-guided tours around the city? Well, now you do 🙂

Boston Market

Where can you go in order to shop, eat, and have a good time? That would be Quincy Market, located in the heart of downtown Boston! According to Boston Central, Quincy Market “combines the glories of the past and the vitality of the present with more than 50 shops, 14 restaurants, 40 food court stops and Boston’s most popular comedy club. For over 250 years, the marketplace has played an integral role in the life of Boston’s residents.” Quincy Market is also an excellent place to go if you are a tourist! The location is perfect because it is so close to other alluring attractions. For example, Boston Central informs us that walking five minutes can get you to: The New England Aquarium, The Children’s Museum, The Old State House, and Paul Revere’s House via the beautiful Rose Kennedy Greenway or right along the waterfront. Also, if you’re willing to take a seven to fifteen minute walk, then you can reach: The New State House, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Public Gardens, Old North Church, The USS Constitution, and Fenway Park. Taking a stroll through Quincy Market is free, so next time you’re in Boston, check it out!

One of my really good friends is from Boston and I am starting to see why she likes it so much! She just got back from a summer vacation there and she had a blast. Also, some of my coworkers are traveling to Boston for the 3rd Annual GBTA Business Traveler Innovation Awards in order to support Hertz and I’m sure they will have a good time. Hopefully I will get to travel to this wonderful city one day so that I can experience some of these great adventures for myself!

Until then, I will continue to make memories the best way I can. Summer is coming to an end, so try to enjoy yourself!
