Throwing a Super Bowl Party

When the big day comes up, remember it is very important that “No matter which teams are playing, you should get the gang together, stock your fridge with all the food and drink that matters, and set up the television just right in order to appreciate America’s most watched sports event.” If you agree, then you should consider these steps:

  • Who To Put On The Guest List: You can’t invite everyone, so figure out what kind of crowd you want. Do you want family and friends? Do you want people who are crazy about football or people who love a party? Maybe you can have people who love both of those. Hopefully your family and friends fit into a good category! Regardless, it’s important to figure out which group of people will fit best in the atmosphere that you plan on creating.
  • Put The “Bowl” In Super Bowl: Next to the game itself, your party will be remembered for one other significant reason: the food. Snacks are key to satisfying people on Super Bowl Sunday. You can either try to come up with a unique nacho recipe or go with the standard chips and dip, just make sure you have enough for everyone. Oh, and stock up on beer!
  • The Extra Point: After you’ve made sure everyone got some “real food” in their systems, bring out the dessert! You can even have a Super Bowl cake made, just for this occasion!
  • Eating Accessories: To make things easier on yourself, use disposable serving items (i.e. plastic cups, plates, & utensils). Also, don’t forget the napkins!
  • Make it Super: Hosting a Super Bowl party should not be stressful. If you do it right, you’ll be able to enjoy the game, the food, and the company! Get organized ahead of time and you should be good to go.

Where to Watch

Can’t make it out to New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII?? No worries, you can catch the game on a big screen in a ton of other popular cities! For example, New York offers plenty of options. Although they “don’t have a dog in the hunt,” the game will be shown at a variety of places. If you’re in the mood for a luxurious Super Bowl experience, then you should choose to watch the game at the Copper Room. This hot spot will allow you to enjoy some Playmaker Snack Platters, while being in the comfort of a private room, and even having your group’s own television. If you’d rather be more laid-back while watching the game, than maybe one of New York’s restaurants is a better choice for you. For instance, you could check out Brother Jimmy’s BBQ, where all the TVs will be tuned into the game and there will be no cover charges. If you’re interested in other places to watch the game at in New York, then check out the article, “Where to Watch the 2013 Super Bowl in New York City: The Ultimate guide.”

Are you a hometown, 49ers fan? Well, San Francisco will be showing a massive amount of support on Sunday as their team takes on the Baltimore Ravens. As you get ready to go out to watch the game, keep in mind what kind of experience you want. If you’re ready for a bar full of fans, going crazy and having a good time, then head to Polo Grounds or Pete’s Tavern by At&T Park, where there are a ton of TVs and $5 49er shots. If you need a gay-friendly atmosphere (although we hope all places are gay-friendly), then head on over to Pilsner Inn, where fans have been going since 1980. If you’re in the mood for something new, then check out Hi Tops sports bar, which just opened recently. To find out more hot spots in San Francisco that will be showing the game, see the article, “Where To Watch The Super Bowl In San Francisco.” Photos are included!

Finally, if you’re in Dallas, like me, there are a bunch of hip places you can go to for the Super Bowl! According to FrontBurner-A Daily Conversation About Dallas, there are six parties in particular that you should keep in mind, when considering what to do this Sunday. The top six parties are located at:

Some of these are more expensive than others, but they will all be showing the game, serving food and drinks, and offering a fantastic atmosphere! For more information on these parties, check out the article, “Our 6 Favorite Super Bowl Watch Parties in Dallas.”

49ers fans must be super excited!

Whether you decide to stay in or go out for the big game, try and have a good time! Good luck to everyone and the team that you’re rooting for! Don’t forget to get in the winning spirit by entering the “10 Will Win” Sweeps!
