Experience GrapeFest

“Accept what life offers you and try to drink from every cup. All wines should be tasted; some should only be sipped, but with others, drink the whole bottle.” – Paulo Coelho

The 27th Annual GrapeFest will be held in Historic Downtown Grapevine, beginning tomorrow and lasting through September 15, 2013. During this time, guests will “discover a variety of new wines, new vendors, new bands and more throughout GrapeFest, the largest wine festival in the Southwest.” Learn more about the premium and international wines, live music, and fantastic festival food that is offered at GrapeFest!

Wine

Throughout this four-day festival, you will be able to select from a variety of wine tasting options. For example, there will be more than 140 wines from over 35 Texas wineries, as well as wine pavilions located throughout the festival that will provide premium and international wine offerings for you to “sample and savor.”

When settlers first arrived to the area in 1844, the land was blanketed with wild Mustang grapes and that’s how Grapevine got it’s name. Texas is the fifth-largest wine producing state in the U.S, and Grapvine is the headquarters for the Texas Wine Industry. Discover new ways to celebrate GrapeFest by checking out these events:

  • People’s Choice – This is the largest consumer judged wine competition in the United States
  • Vintners’ Auction – This benefits the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Foundation
  • Texas Wine Tribute – A black-tie gala that celebrates specially selected Texas wines paired with the dinner
  • Wine Pavilions – Pavillion volunteers will assist you in choosing the perfect wine to compliment your GrapeFest experience
  • Winery Tours – Complimentary shuttles will take guests to the winery tasting rooms. There are 6 rooms and each is open year-round
